PADI SKIN DIVER

Learn snorkeling and skin diving techniques including checking buoyancy, surface swimming, clearing water from your snorkel and performing effortless surface dives.

  • Minimum age 8 years old.
  • Must be a proficient swimmer.
Skin diving is snorkeling while making breath-hold dives to observe aquatic life, up close and personal. It's a great way to explore the underwater world when you're not able to scuba dive or if scuba diving isn't your thing. The PADI Skin Diver Course teaches you how to enjoy watching life below the surface and comfortably venture underwater for short visits, whether you dive in a local freshwater lake or the big blue ocean.

You will learn:
  • How to choose, adjust and use skin diving equipment.
  • Basic safety guidelines for being in and around the water.
  • Snorkeling and skin diving techniques including checking buoyancy, surface swimming, clearing water from your snorkel and performing effortless surface dives.
  • Going on an optional skin dive at a local dive site.

PADI BUBBLEMAKER

Do you have kids eager to dive in? Junior Bubbles is an exciting experience and the best way for kids to discover the underwater world of Scuba Diving. The program is loads of fun and safe as it is conducted by a PADI Pro.

  • Minimum age 8 years.
  • Must be proficient swimmers.
Bubblemaker is a chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving . They will have the opportunity to:
  • Experience scuba diving under the direct care and supervision of a PADI Pro.
  • Take their first breaths underwater in water shallower than 2m/6 feet.
  • Learn about and use scuba diving equipment made for children.
  • Have a heap of fun.
Upon completion the kids will receive a certificate and mementos. Forms:
All scuba equipment is supplied.

Kids will need to bring:
  • Bathers
  • Towel
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • A medical questionnaire is required to be complete before the participant begins the program.
The program runs for 1 hour.

PADI SEAL TEAM

The PADI Seal Team is for young scuba divers who are looking for action-packed fund in a pool by completing exciting AquaMissions.

Do cool stuff in the pool, and meet friends.

  • Minimum age 8 years old.
  • Must be a proficient swimmer.
Have you ever wondered what it's like to dive with flashlights, take digital pictures underwater or float effortlessly like an astronaut? Beyond learning basic scuba skills, there are specialty AquaMissions, such as wreck diving, navigation, buoyancy, environmental awareness and more. PADI Seal Team includes doing some cool stuff in the pool, meeting friends and sharing in the adventure of the underwater world. The PADI Seal Team program teaches responsibility and respect for the aquatic realm. It's broken into 2 parts:
  • Part 1, AquaMissions 1 - 5, cover the basic scuba diving skills, such as breathing underwater, clearing a mask of water, recovering a regulator and swimming around experiencing the sensation of being weightless. Each session takes about an hour. Complete these AquaMissions and become a recognised PADI Seal Team Member. Your experience may also count toward the PADI Open Water Diver Course when you are old enough to participate in the course.
  • Part 2, 10 specialty AquaMissions, includes adventures like creature identification, search and recovery diving, and skin diving. Complete all of these and you'll become a PADI Master Seal Team Member - joining an elite group of young scuba divers.
Forms:
All scuba equipment is provided and you will learn how to use the basic scuba gear including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device, dive gauges and a tank.

Kids will need to bring:

PADI JUNIOR OPEN WATER DIVER

Is your kid ready to dive a little deeper?

The Junior Open Water Diver is where Diver certification begins and opens the door to a lifetime of discovery and exploration.


Each student must meet the following requirements for this course:
  • Must be at least 10 years old
  • Must be able to swim 182m/ 200 yards
  • Must be able to tread water for 10 minutes
Diving requires patience, dedication and a great sense of humour. While mastering PADI's specific performance requirements, students will develop positive characteristics such as communication, trust and open-mindedness, all while gaining a great sense of personal achievement.

The PADI Junior Open Water Course consists of 3 main phases:
  • Knowledge Development (online) to understand basic principles of scuba diving.
  • Confined Water Dives to learn the basic scuba skills
  • Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore.
You may be able to get college credit for the Open Water Diver when you are old enough to enrol in that course.

The Junior Open Water Diver course can be completed in 2 different ways.

Traditional Option:
  • 3 classroom sessions with an instructor to complete Knowledge Development.
  • 3 pool sessions to complete Confined Water Dives (3 hours each).
  • 4 Open Water Dives.
eLearner Option:
  • Enroll in the PADI Open Water Diver Course Online for immediate computer-based access to the Knowledge Development material. Complete Knowledge Development material at your own pace and in the comfort of your own home (all exams must be completed before starting Confined Water Dives).
  • 3 pool sessions to complete Confined Water Dives (3 hours each).
  • 4 Open Water Dives.
  • 4 Open Water Dives.

DISCOVER SCUBA

A quick and easy introduction into what it takes to explore the underwater world. Although this is not a scuba certification course, you'll learn all the steps it takes to be a PADI certified diver and therefore a great way to see if you want to get into diving.

  • Must be a proficient swimmer
Have you always wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, but aren't quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is for you. While not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. If you make an open water dive, you'll practice a few more skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure. Get ready to:
  • Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear.
  • Find out what it's like to breathe underwater.
  • Learn key skills that you'll use during every scuba dive.
  • Have fun swimming around and exploring.
  • Hear about becoming a certified diver through the PADI Open Water Diver Course.

PADI OPEN WATER DIVER

This course is the entry level certification necessary to scuba dive. Don't let the phrase 'entry level' fool you, you will learn a ton and have fun too! Once certified by PADI, an internationally recognised organisation, you are qualified to dive in waters of up to 60 ft. deep.

  • Minimum age 10 years old.
  • Must be ale to swim 182m/ 200 yards.
  • Must be able to tread water for 10mins.
PADI Open Water Diver is a prerequisite course for PADI Advanced Open Water and many other diving education courses.

You will learn:
  • Knowledge Development (online or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving.
  • Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills.
  • Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore.
The Open Water Diver course can be completed in 2 different ways.

PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER

This course is all about advancing your diving knowledge and skills. This course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives. You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your PADI Instructor.

  • Minium age is 15 years old.
  • Certified Open Water Diver.
  • PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old are able to enroll in an Advanced Open Water Diver Course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Divers.
You'll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are 2 required dives and you choose the other 3 for a total of 5 dives.

Required Dives:
  • Deep Adventure Dive (60-100 feet) - during this dive, you will learn how to plan dives to deal with physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving.
  • Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive - during this dive you will refine your compass navigation skills and learn how to better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
Elective Dives:
  • The other knowledge and skill you get vary with your interest and the adventure you have chosen.
Learning Materials:
  • PADI's Adventures in Diving Manual & DVD
  • The Advanced Open Water Diver course consists of an orientation session with your instructor and 5 Adventure dives. There is also an eLearner option online for completing material in the Adventures in Diving Manual.

PADI EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE

PADI RESCUE DIVER

'Chellenging' yet 'Rewarding' is the best way to describe the PADI Rescue Diver course. Learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver, knowing that you can help others if needed.

  • Minimum age 15 years old.
  • Open Water Certification.
During the course, you learn to become a better buddy by practicing problem solving skills until they become second nature. Plus, the course is just fun - it's serious, but allows for lots of laughter in between the focused learning.

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through the knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills.

  • Self rescue.
  • Recognising and managing stress in other divers.
  • Emergency management and equipment.
  • Rescuing panicked divers.
  • Rescuing unresponsive divers.

PADI ENRICHED AIR DIVER (NITROX)

The most popular PADI specialty course. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives.

  • Minimum age 15 years (If you’re a PADI Junior Open Water Diver who is at least 12 years old, you can enroll in the Enriched Air Diver Specialty course. Note that in some regions the minimum age is older than 12.)
  • Open Water Diver Certification.
If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don't hesitate to become an enriched air diver. You'll learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations.  During a practical session, and 2 optional (or required) scuba dives, you'll learn:
  • Discuss managing oxygen exposure.
  • Practice analysing oxygen content in your scuba tank.
  • Set your dive computer for diving with enriched air nitrox.

PADI DIVEMASTER

Be a leader who mentors and motivates others. Gain dive knowledge, supervision abilities, and become a role model to divers around the world. If you are ready to take diving to a while new level, this course is it.

  • Minimum 18 years old
  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification
  • PADI Rescue Diver Certification
  • An Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care course completion within the past 24 months
  • At least 40 dives to being the course and 60 dives for certification
  • Be fit for diving and submit a Medical Statement Form signed by a physician within the last 12 months
Take the PADI Divemaster course and do what you love to do as a career. Scuba divers look up to Divemasters because they are leaders who mentor and motivate others. As a Divemaster, you not only get to dive a lot, but also experience the joy of seeing others have as much fun diving as you do.

This course is the first level of professional training. Working closely with a PADI Instuctor, you'll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. You'll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere.

As a PADI Divemaster, you'll lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. Through knowledge development sessions, water-skills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessment, you develop the skills to organise and direct a variety of scuba diving activities.

You will learn:
  • Dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study
  • Complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organise and solve problems as well as help others improve their scuba
  • Put your knowledge into action through a structured internship or series of practical training exercises
  • How to lead, mentor and motivate other divers
Topics and practical workshops include:
  • The role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster
  • Supervising dive activities and assisting with student divers
  • Diver safety and risk management
  • Business of diving and your career
  • Awareness of the dive environment
  • Dive setup and management
  • Mapping an open water site

After becoming certified as a PADI Divemaster you will be authorised to:
  •  Supervise both training and non-training-related activities by planning, organizing and directing dives
  • Assist a PADI Instructor during the training sessions for any PADI Diver course
  •  Conduct the PADI Skin Diver course and PADI Discover Snorkeling program
  • Conduct the PADI Discover Local Diving experience
  • Conduct the PADI Scuba Review program
  • If qualified as a Discover Scuba Diving Leader, independently conduct the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program.
  • Earn the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Specialty Instructor rating to be able to teach the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer specialty.
  • Independently guide Open Water Diver course students on the tour portion of Open Water Diver course Training Dives 2, 3 and 4 at a ratio of two student divers per certified divemaster.
  • Accompany Open Water Diver students under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor during: surface swims to and from the entry/exit point and during navigational exercises
  • When the instructor conducts a skill, such as an ascent or descent, a Divemaster can remain with other student divers (with an individual student or buddy team)
  • Accompany student divers during Adventure Dives or Specialty training dives under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor.
  • Conduct the PADI Seal Team Skin Diver Specialist AquaMission
  • Conduct subsequent dives under an instructor’s indirect supervision for Discover Scuba Diving participants after participants have satisfactorily completed the first dive with a PADI Instructor.
  • Teach Emergency First Response courses after successfully completing an Emergency First Response Instructor course.
You will use all the basic scuba equipment and some accessories. It is highly recommended that you own all of your own scuba equipment, as familiarity with personal gear improves general scuba diving skills.
